 TIME-TRAVELS IN LITERATURE AND POLITICS

 

A panel discussion with Abdelkader Benali (Netherlands) and Hisham Matar (Libya)

 

Chair: Jo Glanville from Index on Censorship

 

Abdelkader Benali (author of Wedding by the Sea, and journalist) and Hisham Matar (author of In the Country of Men and Anatomy of a Disappearance ) discuss freedom of speech, the Arab Spring and the artistic responses now and in the past to such revolutionary events.

Jo Glanville, editor of Index on Censorship, the UK’s largest organisation for freedom of speech, will chair the event.
